Chris Gentry, DVM

Years of Practice: 25+

Dr. Gentry is a 1995 graduate of the LSU School of Veterinary Medicine and a 1991 graduate of UCA with a degree in Biology. In 1996, he opened Vilonia Animal Clinic. Since 2011, he has shared ownership with Dr. Jenkins. Dr. Gentry is also PennHIP Certified.

Dr. Gentry is a cat lover and has owned many breeds of dogs over the years: Bullmastiffs, Pembroke Welsh Corgis, German Short-Haired Pointers, Mountain Curs, plus a variety of rescued mixed breed dogs. He now has no children at home and there is more room for his 4 cats and 4 dogs!

J. Paul Jenkins, DVM

Years of Practice: 20

Dr. Jenkins is a 2002 graduate of the LSU School of Veterinary Medicine. He completed his pre-veterinary studies at Arkansas State University and the University of Arkansas. After practicing for two years in Clinton, Louisiana, he joined Vilonia Animal Clinic in 2004. Since 2011, he shares ownership with Dr. Gentry. Dr. Jenkins is on the Advisory Board for the Veterinary Technician program at ASU-Beebe, and he is past President of the Arkansas Veterinary Medical Association.

Dr. Jenkins’ home has included a mixed breed dog and Persian cats, and now houses a German Wirehaired Pointer, a Border Collie mix, a miniature Dachshund and the king of the house, Olaf, the tabby cat!
